Starting RB: Alvin Kamara

While he might start the year suspended, Alvin Kamara is the starting running back for the team. He joined the Saints in 2017 after they spent a third-round pick on him in that year’s draft and he immediately showed how elusive he could be.

Kamara hasn’t rushed for 1,000 yards in a season during his career but that’s because he’s used as a pass catcher far more than other running backs. He’s lethal as both a runner and a pass-catcher and that’s why last year when he was absent from games, the Saints’ offense suffered as a result.

Starting FB: Adam Prentice

Adam Prentice joined the Saints last summer and ended up winning the fullback job. New Orleans still values the fullback position so Prentice should be able to get onto the roster for his second year with the organization. He might not rack up the stats but he helps clear running lanes for Kamara and the other running backs.
