What will the New Orleans Saints’ 2022 starting offense look like? Let’s come up with a prediction for that side of the ball.
The offense was a struggle for the New Orleans Saints in 2021. They lost their starting quarterback seven weeks into the regular season and went on to start four different quarterbacks. Throw in that the best receiver on the field was second-year undrafted product Marquez Callaway and it makes sense why the Saints’ passing offense was the worst in the league.
Things should be different this year, though. Jameis Winston is returning from injury and has been showing off during his rehab process. NOLA also upgraded their wide receiver position so this unit should be significantly better than it was a season ago.
Here’s what the starting offensive lineup could look like for the New Orleans Saints.

Starting QB: Jameis Winston
This is Jameis Winston’s third year with the organization and his second year as the starter. He sat behind Drew Brees in 2020 and last summer beat out Taysom Hill for the starting gig. There was no competition for Winston this year even with Andy Dalton signing with the team. Dalton knew it was Winston’s team and was ready to do what he could to help.
Unless he gets banged up before the season begins, Winston is going to be the starting quarterback of the Saints.
