Linebackers (6)

Demario Davis, Pete Werner, Zack Baun, Kaden Elliss, Andrew Dowell, D’Marco Jackson

This one feels somewhat set in stone but there is certainly a chance that a UDFA such as Isaiah Pryor or Nephi Sewell impresses enough to get one of the spots available.

Demario Davis and Pete Werner are locks because they’ll be the starters. Behind them should be Zack Baun and Kaden Elliss though the Saints could look to move on from Baun due to his disappointing play early into his career. Elliss and Andrew Dowell have been good special teams contributors, which helps their cases.

With D’Marco Jackson, I don’t see the Saints excluding him considering they spent a fifth-round pick on him this year. They’ll the rookie a chance to show that he belongs on the team.

It’ll be tough for the linebackers on the outside looking in to get onto the 53-man roster but it’s possible.
