Offensive Line (9)

Trevor Penning, Andrus Peat, Erik McCoy, Cesar Ruiz, Ryan Ramczyk, Landon Young, James Hurst, Calvin Throckmorton, Forrest Lamp

Six offensive linemen are pretty much guaranteed to make the team. Those are the starting five and then whoever ends up being the backup at left tackle. That leaves three open spots for the remaining offensive linemen to fight over this summer.

Landon Young was a sixth-round pick a year ago and did see some playing time until he was injured. The team will likely give him another chance to be a backup this year but hopefully, we don’t end up seeing him much because that’d mean someone was either injured or inconsistent.

Calvin Throckmorton appeared in all 17 games and started 14 last year with mixed results. He has starting experience though and that’s likely why he’ll end up making the team.

That leaves one spot and I gave it to Forrest Lamp. A former second-round pick by the Chargers, Lamp joined the Saints last year and appeared in just one game last year. Injuries hurt his chances of performing well for the Chargers but he could be a solid depth piece here.
