11. Alvin Kamara (3,263)
Saints RB from 2017-Present
The only running back to appear here is Alvin Kamara, who the Saints spent a third-round pick on in the 2017 NFL Draft. He immediately showed that he was a force to be reckoned with as a rookie, tallying 1,554 yards from scrimmage. He had 81 receptions for 826 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie and won Offensive Rookie of the Year for his efforts.
Kamara did more as a pass-catcher that year than he did as a rusher and he’s continued to be a strong receiver during his time in the league. His rookie year is still his career-high for receiving yards and the five touchdowns were a total he matched two more times in his career.
Running backs can sometimes be used as pass-catchers but Kamara has always been a different kind of running back. For the Saints, he’s essentially been another wide receiver for them to use in their offense.
Kamara is right outside the top 10 in receiving yards as a running back and it’s entirely possible that he cracks the top 10 after the upcoming year.
