2. Adam Trautman
Fans are probably laughing at Adam Trautman’s name appearing on this list but if he’s going to break out and become the player the Saints were hoping he would when they spent a third-round pick on him, it’s going to happen this year. That’s the hope at least.
Trautman was a lot of fun to watch during his time at Dayton and when the team spent a third-rounder on him in 2020, it made a lot of fans pretty happy. Unfortunately, Trautman has failed to emerge as a true TE1 for the black and gold since joining them two years ago.
As a rookie, Trautman was buried on the depth chart but year two, it was supposed to be the Adam Trautman show in the Big Easy. He got off to a rough start but did start to show some flashes of potential near the end of the season.
With Winston returning as the quarterback, this is Trautman’s time to show that he can be that same weapon we saw at Dayton.
