Previously known as Janoris, Jackrabbit Jenkins was a member of the Saints in 2019 and 2020. He gave them a solid contributor in the secondary and it was disappointing when he signed elsewhere last offseason.
Last year as a member of the Titans, Jenkins continued to play well, earning a PFF grade of 65.4 yet he remains unsigned. He’s 33 years old (turns 34 in October) so he’s not going to be a long-term solution for whoever signs him next but he’d be a nice piece to have in an already-strong New Orleans secondary.
The Saints won’t sign Jenkins simply because of the aforementioned strong secondary but I’d be surprised if he was still left unsigned when the regular season kicked off. Once cornerbacks start to get injured, Jackrabbit Jenkins will be one of the first players to get a call.
While Jenkins has ties to the Saints, it’s doubtful they’ll be reunited in 2022.
