Starting RT: Ryan Ramczyk

Backups: Landon Young, Jerald Hawkins, Derek Schweiger

Ryan Ramczyk was more than deserving of the five-year $96 million extension that he signed last summer but it definitely hurt the o-line when he missed seven games. That forced a few different combinations on the offensive line and the unit was clearly struggling without Ramczyk present.

Fortunately, he’s back for the 2022 season and hopefully, he’ll stay healthy this time around. If he doesn’t, 2021 sixth-round pick Landon Young is the likely candidate to step in and replace him. The Kentucky product appeared in 10 games last year but appeared in just 10% of offensive snaps as a rookie.

Jerald Hawkins is a former fourth-round pick by the Steelers in 2017. Saints fans remember him for his LSU years and now he’s back in the state of Louisiana. He’s spent time with the Steelers and the Buccaneers and appeared in just 9% of offensive snaps in Pittsburgh last year.

Derek Schweiger went undrafted out of Iowa State and is certainly someone to keep an eye on this summer. As is the case with Lewis Kidd, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Schweiger make the team.
