Saints OL depth chart predictions after 2022 NFL Draft

Starting RG: Cesar Ruiz
Backups: Calvin Throckmorton, Lewis Kidd
Right guard is probably the weakest position on the entire o-line but it’s pretty close between this position and left guard.
Cesar Ruiz is entering year 3 and this is a huge year for him. To this point, he hasn’t played well and is definitely trending toward being remembered as a bust. Fans are hoping that Ruiz pulls a Marcus Davenport and turns on the acceleration this year.
If Ruiz either gets injured or has to slide in at center to replace Erik McCoy, it’ll likely be Calvin Throckmorton getting the snaps at right guard. Throckmorton appeared in all 17 games last year, filling in for both Andrus Peat when he was injured and for Ruiz when he had to play center for five games.
Lewis Kidd is an intriguing UDFA out of Montana State who could end up making it onto the roster due to the lack of talent at the guard position. I wouldn’t be shocked if he was on the final 53-man roster, to be perfectly honest.
