This time last year, the New Orleans Saints had one of the best offensive lines in the league. While the unit is still mediocre, it’s not anywhere near the level it was then. What will the depth chart look like?

One of the biggest losses from the New Orleans Saints‘ roster this offseason was left tackle, Terron Armstead. He headed for Miami after spending his entire nine-year career with the Saints, who took him in the third round in the 2013 NFL Draft.

To replace Armstead, the Saints selected Trevor Penning with the 19th overall pick. A rookie left tackle isn’t ideal but with limited choices in free agency, it made sense for the Saints to this route because they can mold him into the player they want him to be.

The guard situations in the Big Easy aren’t great but the Saints are kind of forced to roll with those two starters. At least they have one of the best centers in the league. The same could be said for right tackle.

With the introduction out of the way, let’s check out what the Saints’ offensive line depth chart could look like in the 2022 season.
