Starting Defensive Line
The defensive line for the New Orleans Saints should look as follows: Cameron Jordan (DE), Marcus Davenport (DE), David Onyemata (DT), and Shy Tuttle (DT).
The front four for the black and gold have always been the bread and butter of the team’s defense, and that is still the case as we enter the 2022 season. Cameron Jordan is an iron man on the edge, and Marcus Davenport will be looking for a career year on a contract year opposite of him.
David Onyemata is a big-time run-stuffer in the middle of the defensive line, and alongside him is the impressive Shy Tuttle. Tuttle came into the league as an undrafted free agent but has done more than enough to solidify his status as an every-week starter for the Saints.
The Saints’ defensive line will be looking for improved production from what they had a season ago, but they certainly have the skill set to be able to do that. Other guys to watch out for on the defensive line are second-year defensive end Payton Turner who missed all but five games in 2021 and Taco Charlton who will be competing for a role as a rotational piece this offseason.
