Final roster predictions for every NOLA Saints UDFA

Nephi Sewell, LB (Utah)
Nephi Sewell is an exciting prospect to watch compete for a roster spot in New Orleans this preseason. Sewell, the brother of Detroit Lions’ 2021 first-round draft pick Penei Sewell, was a standout linebacker in the Midwest for five years, splitting his career with both Nevada and Utah.
Sewell has a knack for making splash plays, and he could be the kind of energy that would excel on a special teams unit. Sewell is an above-average tackler with solid pursuit skills. He is best used in zone coverage as a linebacker, where he’s able to use his smaller but more athletic frame to make plays on the football.
Nephi Sewell had a solid college football career as he accumulated 251 total tackles, 22.5 tackles for a loss, five interceptions, six passes defended, three forced fumbles, three fumbles recovered, and scored one defensive touchdown.
I don’t know if his athleticism alone will help him crack the final roster, but I hope he has a strong offseason and could solidify our special teams unit as a whole.
