2. Kwon Alexander

Re-signing Kwon Alexander feels less and less likely as the days go on, especially after New Orleans spent one of their five draft picks on D’Marco Jackson, a linebacker out of Appalachian State.

Alexander joined the Saints midway through the 2020 season and played well before getting injured right before the postseason. Fans were pushing for the team to bring him back in 2021 and they wisely did.

While Alexander did miss time due to injury (something that’s plagued him throughout his career), when he’s on the field, he makes a positive impact. PFF might not give Alexander the credit he deserves but make no mistake, the former LSU linebacker fits in well in Dennis Allen’s defense.

Alexander met with the Jets a few weeks ago but nothing ever came of that visit so he’s still on the market, as of this writing. The team might not desperately need a linebacker but Alexander is still someone the Saints should try to bring back because he fits this defense nicely.
