Round 2: Pick 49 – Chad Muma, LB (Wyoming)

At this point, Saints fans might be screaming at the television since two rounds have gone by and the team neglected to draft a wide receiver. Chad Muma, however, was too hard for the front office to pass on.

With the Saints not re-signing Kwon Alexander — at least not yet — the team needs another linebacker on their defense. Demario Davis and Pete Werner are going to be quite the dynamic duo in 2022 but just imagine adding Muma to this bunch.

The biggest thing that jumps off the page when looking at Muma’s stats is the number of tackles the Wyoming Cowboy racked up in 2021. He notched an astounding 142 tackles through 13 games last year and the Saints could absolutely use a powerhouse defender such as Muma.

The strength of the Saints is their defense and Muma would give them yet another dynamic defender, keeping that side of the ball incredibly strong. How could they pass on Chad Muma with their second-round pick?
