5. Cameron Meredith

After going undrafted out of Illinois State, Cameron Meredith took advantage of the opportunities given to him. He had an insanely good year with the Bears in the 2016 season, tallying 66 receptions for 888 yards and four touchdowns.

Despite missing all of 2017 due to injury, that production in 2016 paved the way for the Saints — and several other teams — to show major interest in Meredith. He landed with New Orleans on a two-year deal and only ended up playing one season for the black and gold.

In the 2018 season, Meredith struggled to stay healthy, appearing in just six games and making one start. He had nine catches for 114 yards and a touchdown during his Saints tenure.

A little over a year after signing him to a two-year deal, NOLA cut their losses and moved on from the Meredith era that never was. He’s yet another name in the long list of receivers who have failed to do much of anything in the Big Easy.
