2. Teddy Bridgewater

This is the least exciting option here but it does feel like a Teddy Bridgewater-Saints reunion could be on the horizon. Bridgewater played with the Saints in 2018 and 2019, mostly serving as a backup to Drew Brees.

When Brees went down in 2019, Bridgewater stepped in and went 5-0 as the starter. Fans were bummed to see him go but it made sense for him to capitalize on the big numbers he put up as a backup and sign elsewhere.

Bridgewater hasn’t been the same quarterback since, spending one year in Carolina in 2020 and then playing for the Broncos in 2021. Neither stint went well for Bridgewater but he’s still a low-end starting quarterback in the NFL.

If the Saints sign Bridgewater, they will need to fixate on finding a quarterback in the draft because he’s not the long-term answer. New Orleans loves Bridgewater but this honestly isn’t a situation I’d like to see happen.
