1. Re-sign Jameis Winston

With Aaron Rodgers trending toward staying in Green Bay (or retiring? I’m not sure what’s going on in that guy’s head but that’s not a new thing for me), Russell Wilson likely staying in Seattle, and no other real solid quarterback options to trade for, New Orleans’ best bet at the position is a guy they’re already familiar with.

Jameis Winston might be the best free-agent quarterback available this offseason but he’s coming off an injury, which could scare teams away. I’ve been more and more optimistic that Winston will re-sign with the Saints and if/when he does, they can then focus on other aspects of the team, such as deciding which wide receiver they’re going to draft.

Winston looked decent through his seven starts last season and he seemed to enjoy playing for the Saints. It might not be easy to retain him this time around with how weak the rest of the free-agent class is and how lackluster the draft class is.

Be that as it may, this is the easiest decision for NOLA to make this offseason. Go get Winston back in the Big Easy!
