The New Orleans Saints have been on quite the roller coaster since early last year. Drew Brees hung up the cleats after an incredible 20-year career and then Sean Payton shocked the world by announcing he was stepping away from the organization after 16 years at the helm.
With two of the biggest names in Saints history walking away within the span of a year, the team is now in desperate need of a quarterback. They tried the Jameis Winston experiment this past year and while the team went 5-2 with Winston under center, he didn’t put up outstanding numbers. Fans seem to want him retained but that’ll be easier said than done.

For those wondering, yes, Taysom Hill is under contract next season but his Lisfranc injury could sideline him for the entire season. He definitely is someone who could start later on in the season if rehab goes smoothly but at this point, the team needs to operate as though he won’t be ready to go anytime soon.
If the Saints want to go with a cheaper option this offseason, here are three names they could consider to quarterback their offense in the 2022 season.
