Sean Payton sent the NFL world back on its heels with his retirement. The now former head coach of the New Orleans Saints was amongst the best signal-callers in the game today and someday soon, he’ll have a gold jacket draped across his shoulders.

With the end of his coaching life arriving, at least for now, there’s plenty that he can look back upon and be proud of. Payton had put together a one-of-a-kind legacy and became the face of a New Orleans franchise that was desperate for one.

Thanks to his indelible mark on the league, Saints fans are going to quickly realize that life without him simply isn’t fun.

As Payton now begins a new chapter, what should be considered his greatest achievements as the head man of the Saints? We had plenty to choose from but we believe we have the top five coaching accomplishments for the sure-fire future Hall of Famer.
