The days of Sammy Watkins being viewed as a star receiver in the league are long gone. The number four overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft has watched his numbers plummet.

Since putting up 1,047 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2015, Watson hasn’t come close to hitting that number again. Actually, he’s only racked up at least half of those receiving yards on two occasions.

Watson will hit the open market again after another pathetic season, this time, with the Baltimore Ravens. He aggregated 394 yards and get this, only a single touchdown. At this point, the Saints shouldn’t even look his way but they’re strapped for cash. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
