NOLA Saints should trade for Russell Wilson

Last, but most certainly not least, the Saints should be eyeing a trade for current Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who expressed last offseason that he wasn’t happy about his situation. It started with a comment about the number of times he got sacked but then continued throughout the offseason with Wilson revealing teams he’d play for.

In the past few weeks, Wilson revisited that list and said he’d waive his no-trade clause for three teams with one of those teams being the Saints. Wilson has obviously noticed how good the NOLA defense is and their offensive line is always one of the better ones in the league. The only thing he’d need in New Orleans is a good receiver or two.

Wilson wouldn’t come cheap but there’s no doubt that the Saints would be a Super Bowl contender with him in the Big Easy. The appeal of playing for Sean Payton is certainly a plus as well.

If New Orleans made just one trade in the 2022 offseason, fans would be content if it was Russell Wilson who they went out and got.
