4. Zay Jones
Another former early round pick by the Bills, Zay Jones, is going to be a free agent this offseason. Jones went in the second round to the Bills in 2017 but during his third year in the league he was traded to the Raiders where he’s still playing. The results haven’t been outstanding but he’s a depth piece for Vegas at this point, which is what he’d be in New Orleans.
Jones hasn’t lived up to the second-round hype by any means, which means he’ll be affordable. He’ll turn 27 this offseason and provides solid WR3/4 potential and that’s exactly what NOLA needs moving forward.
Jones has 17 catches for 257 yards and a touchdown through 12 games and four starts and that production would be fine with New Orleans 12 games into the season, assuming he’s a backup. He’ll be someone that could be had for fairly cheap on the market this offseason but fans would have to taper expectations for him.
Zay Jones isn’t a star but in New Orleans, he wouldn’t have to be.
