5. Drake London (USC)
The Saints have been linked to Drake London in mock drafts frequently this offseason and fans weren’t mad about it. The Trojan product compiled 88 receptions for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns through eight games this season. Saints fans are drooling just looking at those numbers.
Unfortunately, during a game against the Arizona Wildcats, London fractured his ankle and will likely miss the rest of the season as a result. He’s done enough to merit being an early-round pick but it’ll be interesting to see if he still goes in the first round.
The Saints should absolutely take a chance on London if he’s the best receiver available whenever they’re on the clock. He’s shown through just eight games this season what he can do and New Orleans needs a solid WR2 next to Michael Thomas. If Thomas doesn’t return, however, there’s no doubt that London could be the WR1 of the Saints moving forward.
London would have been higher than five before his injury but it’s incredibly telling how talented he is that he still makes the list despite being injured and not playing another snap this season.
