5. Paulson Adebo (22)

The Saints spent a third-round pick on Paulson Adebo in this year’s draft despite him not playing for Stanford in 2020 as a result of the pandemic. The selection has looked like a good one for New Orleans and Adebo found himself in a prime role from Week 1. He’s started all eight games as a rookie and has faired well as a starter.

His 49.1 PFF grade is fitting, as Adebo has been pretty up and down but that’s to be expected of a rookie thrust into a starting role from day one.

With Marshon Lattimore locked up to an extension and Adebo only a rookie, the Saints have put themselves in a position to have one of the best secondaries in the NFL. Adebo won’t turn 23 until July and he has three years left on his rookie deal.

Fans have to be feeling good about him moving forward. He’s made rookie mistakes this year but for the most part, the Stanford product has played well and that definitely gives fans hope for the future.
