1. Seattle Seahawks

For the first time in his career, Russell Wilson had to miss a game this past week and he actually landed on IR, meaning he’ll be out through at least Week 9, if not longer. This is a new situation for Seattle, as Wilson has been their quarterback for every single game dating back to 2012.

Geno Smith entered the league the next year and has had opportunities to seize a starting job but failing to do so. It became clear that he was more suited for a backup role but he’ll now get the keys to the car in Seattle until Wilson comes back.

The Seahawks might want to consider adding Siemian as either a backup to Smith or another option to start if Smith struggles in his new role.

With the Saints fully stocked at the quarterback position, they shouldn’t hesitate to move Trevor Siemian if another team comes calling with a decent offer. They still have Hill and Book as backup options to Winston should an injury occur to the current starting Saints QB.

These three teams make the most sense as a landing spot for Siemian and it’ll be interesting to see if anything happens with him between now and the trade deadline.
