1. Matt Corral

Well, here he is — The likely No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. If he doesn’t go No. 1, Matt Corral will at least be the first quarterback taken in April and the Saints would love to have the Ole Miss product on their roster.

Corral has dazzled in 2021, throwing for 1,728 yards, 14 touchdowns, and one interception through six games. He’s also a good runner, racking up 450 yards and eight touchdowns with his legs.

Corral has shot up the draft boards this year with his play for the Rebels and the numbers are a good indictation as to why. He’s thrown just one pick and has one of the strongest arms in the draft class.

If the Saints could pick any signal-caller they wanted in April, Corral would be the guy. He’d be a Week 1 starter but could definitely benefit from sitting on the bench for a few weeks before getting the keys to the car.

These are the four quarterbacks who Saints fans should be eyeing as we continue on through the 2021 college football season.

Some might wonder why Spencer Rattler wasn’t included on this list and that’s because he’s really fallen off production wise. The Oklahoma quarterback was benched after a rough outing vs. Texas last week and didn’t get the start vs. TCU on Saturday. Rattler needs to stay in school and not enter the draft.
