7 New Orleans Saints with soaring stock entering Week 6 BYE

5. Payton Turner
People were a bit confused when the Saints selected Houston defensive end, Payton Turner, in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. It honestly seemed like the team was trying to redo the Marcus Davenport pick three years later and it felt like Turner could have been taken on Day 2 rather than Day 1.
Be that as it may, Turner has played well through four games. He missed Week 1, but has played in each of the past four games and has looked pretty good.
So far, the Houston rookie has racked up nine combined tackles, three quarterback hits, and one sack. He’s one of the few players on this team who is providing any sort of a pass rush with Davenport and David Onyemata out.
Tackling hasn’t been great for the Saints’ defense so far but Turner laid a beatdown on J.D. McKissic during Sunday’s game.
There's some hard tackles out here today. Payton Turner just rudely introduced himself to J.D. McKissic

Fans certainly feel better about this pick after seeing Turner play. His stock is rising as we enter the BYE week, that’s for sure.
