3. Trey Burton

The last time we saw Trey Burton in action was last year when he was a member of the Indianapolis Colts. Burton appeared in 13 games (four starts), notching 28 receptions for 250 yards and three touchdowns during his time in Indy.

Burton is a former undrafted free agent out of Florida and has played for the Eagles, Bears, and the Colts during his seven-year career. He’s struggled with injuries throughout his pro career but he’d be a nice addition to this tight end room in New Orleans.

As mentioned on the opening slide, Trautman and Johnson aren’t getting it done and helping Winston out enough. Burton is someone who has been a reliable tight end for a team in the past and would give this team a more reliable option at the position.

Burton worked out with the Jaguars last week but nothing ever came of it. He’d be a good addition to the New Orleans Saints’ offense and he could very well be their starting tight end if they did end up signing him.
