1. Injuries Galore
Carolina beat the Saints fair and square but injuries were obviously a big factor in why NOLA lost that game. They were without key players such as Kwon Alexander, Marcus Davenport, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Tanoh Kpassagnon, and Marshon Lattimore and that was only on the defensive side of the ball.
Offensively, New Orleans was without Erik McCoy, who proved to be one of the most brutal losses as the offensive line fell apart without him. Winston had no time to throw and that, combined with not having weapons to target, makes it incredibly difficult for a quarterback to make some magic happen down the field.
Losing so many key players in just two weeks isn’t good. While Gardner-Johnson and Lattimore will hopefully return to the lineup this weekend, injuries have definitely been the biggest concern surrounding this team.
It’s still early in the season so there’s time for these five things to become less of a concern but for now, it’s okay for fans to feel a little uneasy when it comes to the five things mentioned in this article.
