The New Orleans Saints won their game in Week 1, but so did two other teams in the division, as the Buccaneers and Panthers moved to 1-0 as well.

The Bucs kicked off the regular season with a matchup against the Cowboys, which came down to the wire. After taking a 29-28 lead late in regulation, Tampa was able to march down the field and score the game-winning field goal. Blargh.

Carolina and Atlanta both played their home games at noon with the Panthers knocking off the Jets and the Falcons getting the doors blown off them by the Eagles. You just hate to see it (sarcasm).

Last but certainly not least, we had the Saints blowing out the Packers down in Jacksonville. Not many people gave New Orleans a chance to win that one but they proved they’re still a good team, even without Drew Brees as the quarterback.

Now with the summary out of the way, let’s dive into each of these games individually and discuss what took place and what the NFC South squad can do to improve moving forward.
