The New Orleans Saints have several key contract decisions to make with key pending free agents. Which should they look to sign to contract extensions?

It isn’t a stretch that the Saints had a historic, franchise-changing draft in 2017.

Between cornerback Marshon Lattimore, tackle Ryan Ramczyk, safety Marcus Williams, running back Alvin Kamara, and edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, they landed five impact producers on rookie contracts. For a team that didn’t have much in the way of young talent at the time, that was a massive haul for them.

However, teams can only have a player on a rookie contract for so long.

New Orleans has already signed Kamara to a new contract extension, while Hendrickson departed as a free agent. That leaves Lattimore, Ramczyk, and Williams.

While all are talented players that the Saints would love to retain, reality gets in the way of that. Based on their current financial situation, in fact, there is a chance they’d only be to keep one of them beyond this year.

That makes each of these player’s contractual situation extremely complicated. Who should they prioritize? What is a reasonable price point for each player?

Let’s analyze the pros and cons of keeping these three talented players beyond this season.
