Marcus Davenport is coming off of a very low season in his career. With an injury starting the year and Trey Hendrickson’s success taking preeminence, Davenport kind of got thrown to the wayside and forgotten about most of last season.
Davenport started 13 games in 2019, and he started only one in 2020. Now, Davenport is healthy and Hendrickson signed a massive contract with the Cincinnati Bengals. Davenport will most likely go back to starting the whole season.
When he does, he will put up big numbers. When he started 13 games, Davenport totaled three forced fumbles, 31 tackles, five tackles for a loss, 16 hits on the quarterback, and 6.0 sacks. He was a force getting pressure on the passer.
This season, Davenport will be back to normal and boast big stats. Look for Davenport to have his first double-digit sack season with double-digit tackles for a loss and hits on the quarterback. He will 100 percent prove his worth this season.
