The New Orleans Saints have no money to go out and improve their team in free agency this year. In fact, their cap situation was so desperate that they have had to let a good portion of role players and starters walk in free agency or be released as a result.

The best way the team can replenish the players that will hurt to lose is the 2021 NFL Draft. The defensive side of the ball was already the weaker side but after being hit with some more losses to come, they will need all the help they can get.

With all the players leaving in free agency and being released, it has left the Saints with major depth issues that need to be addressed.

The offense has lost players as well. Either way, you look at it, the Saints’ depth at almost every position has been affected in some way, shape, or form. It is going to be up to Payton and the front office to fix those issues and soon.

According to the Saints’ depth chart at ESPN.com, there are three positions that the Saints currently have zero backups for. These positions will be examined and added depth will be suggested in the following pages.
