The New Orleans Saints are bringing Jameis Winston back on a one-year, $12 million deal, and the fanbase should be thrilled about his return.

The first day of free agency has been a wild ride for the New Orleans Saints, and it’s official that they’ll be bringing back Jameis Winston.

With most of their heavy lifting to get under the cap already having happened with the restructuring of contract and the releasing of veterans, the Saints were finally able to give us some positive news. New Orleans has re-signed Winston.

Originally brought in from Tampa Bay, Winston signed for the minimum last offseason, a deal that was an absolute bargain for the Saints. Winston learned under Drew Brees, who recently announced his retirement from football.

Now, he’ll get a chance to take over from the future Hall of Famer.

The Saints also have Taysom Hill on the roster to compete with him. While Winston is expected to be the starter, anything can happen. Another big announcement was that Trey Hendrickson signed with the Bengals.

With the roster starting to come together, let’s dive into three reasons why you should believe in Winston and the 2021 New Orleans Saints.
