Mac Jones

The New Orleans Saints have one quarterback that is currently under contract for the 2021 season. That’s Taysom Hill, and Sean Payton doesn’t seem too eager to make him the team’s long-term future at the position.

At 28, they’ll be praying Mac Jones falls to them, but there shouldn’t be much hope that he does. Jones, who was a Heisman Trophy finalist at Alabama, helped win a national championship with the famed college.

Now, he’ll be taking his talents to the NFL. His last season with the Crimson Tide, Jones threw for 4,500 yards. On top of that, Jones had a 41:4 touchdowns to interception ratio. He proved to be one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the NCAA.

Chris Sims ranked Jones his third-best quarterback in the draft, and while it seems a bit far-fetched putting Jones over Trey Lance and Justin Fields, it may not end up being the wrong call when looking back.

Jones has all the talent, and in a franchise like New Orleans, he should thrive. It’s worth the risk, even if that means trading up.
