Saints move up to No. 3

The Miami Dolphins currently hold the No. 3 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. It feels as if Miami has so many picks in every draft that you can’t keep up with them and this one is no different.

Current projections have the Dolphins grabbing offensive tackle Penei Sewell or wide receiver DeVonta Smith with this pick. If that is the case, to make this more interesting to Miami, the Saints could offer in Cesar Ruiz or Emmanuel Sanders.

When it comes to the picks, the weights are about equal. That means, for the Saints to move up from No. 28 to No. 3, they would have to offer up at least two first-round picks and a second-round pick to the Dolphins.

The Dolphins have enough room in their cap to make some major offseason free-agent acquisitions. I think they would be the most willing to give this pick up because of that. They could also add serious talent still at No. 28.
