Alvin Kamara

The reason Alvin Kamara finds his way on this list is that it is obvious that the Saints want to build around him. You don’t give a guy a contract as the one Kamara got before the 2020 season unless you plan to build the running back room around him.

Even throughout this year, we saw time and time again plays being drawn up around Kamara. Whether it was specific run play or the screen underneath passes, they found a way to get Kamara the ball, and Kamara found a way into the endzone.

In fact, he found it six times in one game on Christmas Day. Right now, Latavius Murray complements Kamara very well. He does everything well that Kamara doesn’t. He is great north to south, third-down running back that powers through the line.

However, there will come a time when Murray’s contract is up and they will have to replace him with someone similar to his capabilities. Either way, they need to complement Alvin Kamara because he is the focal point of their running game.
