Number One: Marquez Callaway
Over the past four seasons, the Saints passing numbers have been bolstered by the talents of Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara.
Unfortunately, defenses have been able to contain Thomas and Kamara in several key matchups over the last four seasons, leaving the offense to search elsewhere for production.
One notable player that stood out amongst the receiver group last season was rookie wide receiver, Marquez Callaway. Callaway caught 21 receptions with 213 receiving yards while dealing with injuries throughout the latter half of the season.
Although having relatively low numbers this past season, Callaway’s ability to create separation from defensive backs and convert crucial third downs helped him to build trust in the eyes of the Saints coaching staff, specifically Sean Payton.
Averaging a noteworthy 10 yards per reception last season expect Marquez Callaway’s role to expand in the Saints offense in this upcoming 2021 season.
