Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
The Packers, who were one of the best teams entering the 2021 NFL Playoffs, exited after Championship weekend after looking to the Tom Brady-led Buccaneers. The Saints were already gone after the Divisional Round to the same opponent.
There was much speculation based on Aaron Rodgers’s vague post-game press conference about the uncertainty of his future with Green Bay. With anything being a possibility, Rodgers making his way to New Orleans isn’t out of question, although it certainly is unlikely.
The price mark on a future Hall-of-Famer would be the biggest question.
The Packers drafted Jordan Love in the first round of last year’s NFL Draft, shocking most analysts. What came as a huge shock to Rodgers might just be the exact reason for his departure from Green Bay after a potential Hall-of-Fame career there.
If the Saints have enough to give up for Rodgers, they would be immediate Super Bowl favorites for the next couple of years. He gives them the best opportunity at another Lombardi trophy, but it is going to be at a huge price tag.
