The defense is a turnover machine

The Saints had a top-five offense last year, but the defense struggled a little. This year, the defense should be able to come close to matching the progress of the offense. This has been a huge year for the defense.

They retained most of their defensive stars from last year so the team chemistry within that defense has continually gotten better. From the front to the secondary, the former mediocre defense is now a turnover machine taking the ball all over the field.

New Orleans’ defense has had nine forced turnovers in their last ten games. Minnesota was the only game the team didn’t have a turnover. Even in most of those games, the defense came away with multiple turnovers from their opponent.

They created five interceptions in their season finale against the Panthers. I imagine they will have at least one interception against Trubisky or Foles, whoever the Bears start. They will continue that hot run into the playoffs continuing to take the ball away.
