Saints: Top 10 high-profile free agents to sign this offseason

Patrick Peterson, CB
Anytime you think about a top-rated cornerback, Patrick Peterson’s name is bound to come up. Peterson has played with Arizona his entire decade-long career so I don’t see him leaving, but if he does, New Orleans is the best option.
Throughout those ten years, Peterson has been selected to eight Pro-Bowl and has had two first-team All-Pro selections. He has had 28 interceptions in 150 games started over the course of his illustrious career with Arizona.
Like Okung, Peterson would be a very welcomed veteran presence to teach and train the young secondary that the Saints are trying to build with guys like Marshon Lattimore, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, and Patrick Robinson.
Patrick Peterson, at his age, hopefully, if not re-signed by the Cardinals would be welcomed to a little less money to make it more manageable on the Saints. Either way, Peterson would bolster the New Orleans’ secondary to another level.
