New Orleans Saints: Studs and duds vs. the Denver Broncos

Dud: Taysom Hill
I understand the Saints were not looking to throw the ball as much on Sunday in Denver and that they were trying to play a simplified game plan against the team, but Taysom didn’t really look good at all.
Taysom Hill has been deemed the Saints starting quarterback for the time being and with that comes intense scrutiny. Hill has struggled to move the ball down the field accurately and has oftentimes relied on his legs to bail him out of sticky situations.
Hill especially struggled against the Broncos defense who limited him to just 9-for-16 passing, 78 passing yards, 44 rushing yards, a fumble, and an interception. Taysom did manage to score two rushing touchdowns, but they were from one and two yards out respectively.
Taysom struggled with ball control, decision making, and decisiveness against the Broncos as he would oftentimes hold the ball too long, try to run instead of throw or take a sack when there was an open receiver.
I understand these things come with time, but it’s an area I truly believe Jameis Winston already has an edge in.
