Overall Review

In Ruiz, Baun, and Trautman, the Saints hopefully drafted three future starters for them. Considering that they are tight on cap space, that is important. It’s almost necessary for them to have a solid future for the Saints to be in a good position moving forward.

If I had to rank my confidence in each player moving forward, it would go as such:

  1. Cesar Ruiz
  2. Adam Trautman
  3. Zach Baun
  4. Malcolm Roach
  5. Marquez Callaway
  6. Tommy Stevens

With a team filled with veterans, New Orleans attacked this draft class with an eye for the future- they targeted developmental options.

5 Saints who should already be on the trading block. dark. Next

I am excited to see what the future holds for their top-three picks, and would advise Saints fans not overanalyzing their rookie contributions- whatever they provide is the icing on the cake.
