Adam Trautman

Yup, even the trusty Jared Cook will be out on Sunday. It’s got us all feeling like this.

Cook will be out as well as five other crucial Saints. Having ended 2019 on a solid note, Cook kicked off the season as one of Brees’ top targets. While his target share has dropped drastically in the last few weeks, Cook is still one of the Saints’ premier end zone threats.

With Cook out, the door is wide open for third-round draft pick Adam Trautman. Coming from Dayton, Trautman has played 47 snaps through the first three weeks and has three receptions as well, totaling 44 yards.

He’s a big target with soft hands, and he should be able to thrive with Cook out. Trautman will be a big part of the Saints offense, and he’ll need to step up for Brees as he’ll undoubtedly be called upon.

Next. 5 Saints who should already be on the trading block. dark

If these three don’t step up, the Saints can wish their Week 4 victory goodbye, but I have a good feeling they’ll at least put together a commendable effort.
