Number One: Janoris Jenkins

Janoris Jenkins was an anchor in the secondary for the New Orleans Saints on Sunday as he was responsible for locking up Chris Godwin while Marshon Lattimore dealt with Mike Evans. I firmly do not think the Saints would have won today if it weren’t for the contributions Jenkins provided.

Janoris Jenkins did a great job in coverage for the Saints and finished second on the team in total tackles following fellow defensive back Ceedy Duce who had nine.

Jenkins totaled eight tackles, several passes defended, and an interception that he returned for a touchdown. That play was arguably the biggest defensive contribution the Saints garnered on Sunday.

Jenkins was widely considered as a trade or release target for the Saints this offseason, but the decision to keep him around is paying off thus far.
