6 Saints who could be traded before Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season

Kiko Alonso
The New Orleans Saints are going young with their linebacking corps.
We’ve seen Nigel Bradham come in and get released within just a few weeks. While Alonso’s job is most likely safe given his experience and history in the league, the Saints have a versatile rookie sitting behind that could explode onto the scene.
Zack Baun has looked explosive in camp, and Alonso is good enough to be dealt and not benched. With Craig Robertson and Baun in the team’s linebacker room with Demario Davis and Alex Anzalone, this team should have a solid unit with good depth without Alonso.
They also have Joe Bachie Jr., Anthony Chickillo and Kaden Elliss all vying for a roster spot as well. Alonso was brought in for Vince Biegel last season, and if they can lock up a Day 2 pick for the veteran linebacker, it’d make sense to let him go elsewhere for 2020.
Alonso more than likely won’t be dealt, but with a trade in the league having happened in the last few days, it wouldn’t be too crazy to think Alonso could be on the hot seat.
