The New Orleans Saints are one of the best teams in the NFL, and they could trade a few of their veterans prior to the 2020 season’s commencement.

There’s no denying this New Orleans Saints team is among the best in the NFC. Their depth in some of the sport’s most important positions is astonishing, and they’ve done a terrific job at improving a 13-win roster from a season ago.

The release of Larry Warford will sting a bit this season, but Cesar Ruiz is expected to fill that void. Other notable additions were wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, tight end Adam Troutman and safety Malcolm Jenkins.

What fans can’t do is assume that anything under 13 wins is a failure of a season. Despite having three straight seasons with double-digit victories, winning those down-to-the-wire games consistently is not easy.

As noted, this team is deep, with elite talent at the majority of positions. They may need to deal a few players in order to add more cornerback depth or just to acquire more draft capital given the several contracts coming to an end after the 2020 season.

That said, let’s dive into six players that could be traded before Week 1 of the 2020 season.
