Number Three: PJ Williams

PJ Williams has been a very solid cornerback for the New Orleans thus far in his NFL career, and based off his training camp performance this year, he seems like he’s taking an even larger step forward.

Williams, 27, has always been the number three or four cornerback for the Saints and oftentimes played the nickel role before Ceedy Duce came along and became the starter in that role.

Williams has had a very strong training camp in 2020 and is looking like a lock to make the final 53-man roster. Coming into camp it wasn’t a lock that Williams would remain on the roster with some young talent on the team as well as an XFL star in Deatrich Nicols being brought in as well.

After Nicols was released as well as a couple of other young guys, it’s looking more obvious that Williams will have a role with the Saints in 2020.

Williams has recorded 151 tackles, six tackles for a loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles, 24 passes defended, four interceptions, and one defensive touchdown in his NFL career and will look to improve those numbers in 2020.
