The cornerback unit for the New Orleans Saints has quickly become one of the most improved units on the defense and could actually be the best group on the team. They’ll be relied upon heavily this season in a division with much-improved offensive weapons.
Teddy Bridgewater in Carolina, Tom Brady in Tampa Bay, and Todd Gurley in Atlanta will call cause additional stress for the team’s secondary. Specifically, the cornerback unit will be pressed with the two top-20 quarterbacks entering the division.
The cornerback room in New Orleans has improved drastically over the past few years and looks even stronger heading into the 2020 season. The main change from last camp will be Janoris Jenkins taking over Eli Apple’s role as the No. 2 corner.
