Saints Roster Breakdown: Predicting the five DTs that’ll crack the 53-man roster

Number Two: Malcolm Roach
Malcolm Roach was signed as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft, but his size and versatility can certainly help him crack the final roster of the New Orleans Saints. Roach, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound defensive tackle, can play anywhere on the defensive line.
Roach was one of the highest-paid undrafted free agent signings, which typically means the team sees a lot of roster-making potential.
Roach certainly proved he has what it takes to play big-time football just like he did at Texas when he recorded 130 tackles, 22.5 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, and three passes defended over his four-year career with the Longhorns.
Roach will be on the bubble as far as making the final roster goes, but if he doesn’t make the roster, I fully expect him to be on the practice squad if he not snatched up by another team needing a high-potential lineman.
